"Contractor Harris is making rapid progress on F. E. Merrick's handsome two-story dwelling on East Main street. Architect Clark has given this design his most careful attention so that when completed Mr. Merrick will have the most modern and up-to-date dwelling in the city." (Medford Sun, 7/28/12, page 6)
An article listing Clark's accomplishments at the time of his appointment to the State Board of Architect Examiners lists the Merrick House (Medford Mail Tribune June 1920). The Medford Sun, August 7, 1919, page 1, indicates a cost of $4500 for the Merrick residence on East Main.
