The actors are apparently walking to a production of "Lock Up Your Daughters," Bernard Miles' adaptation of the Henry Fielding play "Rape Upon Rape." See Medford Mail Tribune, August 13, 1968, page 1. According to a photo caption on page 9 of that issue, actors in that production included Scott Wagoner, Amanda McBroom, Danny Davis and Karen Sue Boettcher.

"Bronze star was awarded 25 Sept 1967 (I got off active duty in early August of that year), but caught up with me in 1968 when I had relocated to Medford with California Oregon Broadcasting. The local Army Reserve battalion presented the medal. My family is sitting off to the left in the film clip.   Citation says “meritorious achievement in ground operations against hostile forces in the Republic of Vietnam, August 1966 through August 1967.”In Vietnam I commanded a medium boat company delivering petroleum, ammunition and building materials in the Mekong Delta and on Saigon River estuaries.  Somewhere in the library there’s a Pat Clason oral history recalling anecdotes from that time. I recall the guy reading the citation was probably Lt. Col. Tycer--but I'm not sure. Kids are Jim, Bill and Pat. Wife is Ann Moore."

All Project Gemini flights were made with the Titan II. (Ashland Tidings, December 2, 1965, page 10)

The airplane on display is the Navy version of the Lockheed Electra L-188 airliner, the P-3 Orion anti-submarine and surveillance craft. The boom on the tail was used for magnetic detection of submarines.

Pioneer Village’s stage coach led the parade, with C. C. Hoover riding shotgun. The little tin lizzie was driven by Jeff Jones of Jacksonville, sponsored by Jacksonville Drug. Pioneer Village’s wagon. Southern Oregon Pony Club, the Old-Timers Club and Southern Oregon Sled Dog Club pictured. The art exhibit was held in the Jacksonville Library in the Brunner Building. Rogue River Rooster Crow

Rooster Crow queen was Margaret Engle (far right); princesses were Dani Niquette and Chris Warren. The queen received a trophy and $15; princesses got $10.

13th annual Rooster Crow winner was Black Fella, with 71 crows, falling short of the record 109 set by Beetlebaum in 1953. Black Fella was owned by Lloyd Hanson, of Foster, Oregon, who had read about the competition in a newspaper article. Prize was $150 and a trophy. The entry of the governor of Utah beat Mark Hatfield's entry by a margin of one crow. (Medford Mail Tribune, June 27, 1965, page 1)
