Due to rapidly unfolding events related to COVID-19, we are taking precautions to curtail the spread of the virus, and have looked to the Jackson County Library Service for guidance. Most JCLS branches are closed, and operations at the Medford and Ashland branches have changed. In an effort to help curtail the spread of the virus and to ensure the continuing health and wellbeing of our many visitors, Society members and volunteers, the SOHS is closing the Research Library to the public beginning Tuesday, March 17. Unfortunately, we cannot give you a date when we will reopen; as you are aware, this is a fluid situation, one which is new to us all. However, we will keep you informed as we move ahead, and when we are able to reopen, we will issue another announcement.
Until then, we invite you to continue to use our library services remotely. During regular library hours, Tuesday through Saturday, noon to 4:00 p.m., you can fulfill your research questions online at http://www.sohs.org/search; call 541-773-6536, ext. 200; or email the library at or firstname.lastname@example.org.
Thank you all for your patronage and understanding during this difficult time. Stay well, and we'll all celebrate together when we are able to reopen our doors!
