Southern Oregon: short trips into history.
A train robbery, a boat ride around Crater Lake and a pool party in the hills overlooking Medford are just a few of the highlights in this DVD of a silent movie shot in 1915 for the world's fair in San Francisco. This was shot entirely with a hand-operated Ernemann 35mm camera by A.C. Allen, featuring an all-local cast of characters, including Broadway actress, Grace Fiero.
The recipes in this packet were selected from hundreds found in the kitchen files of the Hanley family. These recipes represent a cross section of dishes that were served on the farm, from rhubarb break and crab apple jelly, to chicken a la king and the old Jacksonville white cake. The Hanleys were especially accomplished in baking cakes and several very special ones are featured in this collection. We hope you enjoy a taste of history.
