A Conversation with Michael Hanley IV

October 7, 2022 @ 11:00 am - 12:00 pm

FREE

Join us on October 7 at 11:00 am at the Medford Library for a talk by Michael Hanley IV—Historian, Artist, Author and Rancher.

A resident of Jordan Valley, Michael has written several historical books, including his 1999, “Journal of Michael F. Hanley IV: Serving as Wagon Master on the 150th Anniversary of the Applegate Trail.” Michael spins great tales of his heritage, the farm and family. Hanley’s father ran the Butte Creek Ranch, which he inherited from his father Michael II, and after WWII sold it and moved to Jordan Valley. In 1857 Hanley’s great-grandfather, Michael Finely Hanley, bought a 640 acre Donation Land Claim from the Clinton/Welton family, now known as SOHS Hanley Farm.

This is a FREE event and will be held in the large meeting room of the Medford Public Library, 205 S Central Avenue in downtown Medford.
