SOHS has decided to cancel History Hoopla at Hanley due to excessive heat.

We thank everyone for their support and we hope you are all staying safe and cool! We’d also like to thank our incredible volunteers who worked tirelessly to plan this event.

July 30 and 31 – 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM

Excitement! Atmosphere! Celebration! In other words, HOOPLA!  Join us in celebrating the Heritage of the Rogue Valley and experience the color and excitement of the 19th century at SOHS Hanley Farm!

Learn from the wisdom of the Native Americans, visit the amazing mountain men who ranged across the northwest, pan for gold, meet Civil War era men and women, and see the 1800s Parisian fashions that once appeared on local streets.  And that’s just the beginning. Take a wagon ride with Michael Hanley IV, listen to fiddle and banjo music, dance the Virginia Reel, visit a pioneer black smithy and an old west doctor, tour the 19th century Hanley farmhouse, enjoy children’s activities, and more!  Admission is $10 for adults; $5 for children 12 and under; and $25 for families (up to 5 members).
